Common questions
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Profile › Legal and Account and tap “Delete My Account”. Your account and all data associated with it are deleted immediately and permanently — this can’t be undone. It doesn’t affect your Apple ID, and it doesn’t cancel an active Pro subscription, so cancel that first in iOS Settings if you have one.
How do I download my data?
Open Profile › Legal and Account and tap “Download My Data”. Gainy exports your data as a JSON file.
I used Gainy without an account. What happens to my data?
Without an account, the app creates an anonymous ID so you can use it right away. If you sign out and delete the app, you can lose access to that anonymous data. Signing in with Apple ties your data to your account instead. To have an anonymous record removed from our server, email hi@ongunlabs.com and we’ll help you find and delete it.
How do I manage or cancel Gainy Pro?
Open iOS Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions and choose Gainy, or use “Manage Subscription” in the app. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
I subscribed but Pro isn’t showing.
Use “Restore Purchases” in the app while signed in to the same Apple ID you subscribed with. If it still doesn’t show, email us and include the Apple ID email you used.
Does Gainy work without internet?
Yes. Your workouts are saved to a local database on your iPhone first and sync to our server when you’re connected again.
How do I change notification, photo or tracking permissions?
Open iOS Settings › Gainy for notifications and photos, and iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking for the tracking choice. Gainy only adds images to Photos — it can’t read your existing photos.
Why do I see ads, and how do I remove them?
Free users see a banner ad on the workout rest screen. Gainy Pro removes ads.
